Butler County residents living in the municipalities of Fairfield, Hamilton, Middletown, Monroe, Oxford and Trenton have curbside recycling included as part of their regular weekly trash collection service.  

Fairfield - The city has a curbside recycling program provided by Rumpke Recycling.  Rumpke bills residents monthly for trash collection and recycling service.  You can recycle newspapers, magazines, junk mail, phone books, brown paper bags, office paper, cardboard, paperboard (such as cereal boxes), plastic bottles & jugs (remove lids), glass bottles & food jars, aluminum cans, steel cans and empty aerosol cans (remove tip). To get a bin, please call 513-867-4200.

The city of Fairfield also has five recycling drop off stations, which accept the above listed materials. The stations are located at:

• Point Pleasant Park, 2001 Resor Road
• Water Works Park, 5133 Groh Lane
• Grange Park, 268 Joe Nuxhall Way
• Fairfield Aquatic Center, 2605 Augusta Blvd.
• Jungle Jim's, 5450 Dixie Hwy (on the north side of the parking area)

Fairfield Brush Pickup and Leaf Collection
Arrange to have your brush and limbs picked up by the Fairfield Public Works Department. Another service, Operation Dump Truck, accommodates large quantities of brush and limbs too large for the call-in pick-up program. Fairfield collects leaves each fall, from the first part of November through the last part of December. Fairfield Township - Three recycling drop off stations are available to residents at:

• Buter Tech, 3603 Hamilton-Middletown Rd (near Fire Tower and Morris Road entrance)
• Shaeffer Park/Township Police Dept. 6485 Vonnie Vale Ct.
• Fire Station No. 2, 2659 Tylersville Rd.

Hamilton - The city has a curbside recycling program provided by Rumpke Recycling.  Rumpke bills residents monthly for waste collection and recycling by the city's public utilities department. You can recycle newspapers, magazines, junk mail, phone books, brown paper bags, office paper, cardboard, paperboard (such as cereal boxes), plastic bottles & jugs (remove lids), glass bottles & food jars, aluminum cans, steel cans and empty aerosol cans (remove tip). To get a bin, call 867-8661. 

Hamilton residents can bring tree limbs and brush to the waste water treatment plant the 2nd Saturday of each month between April and October from 8 a.m. - noon.  Limbs and brush are chipped for mulch used in city parks. Curbside leaf collection takes place in the fall, usually in late October. Visit the city's website for details - http://www.hamilton-city.org/. 

Hanover Township - Two recycling drop off stations are available to residents at:

• Southwest Regional Water District, 3640 Old Oxford Rd. (Route 130)
• Hanover Memorial Park, 1880 Morman Rd.

Liberty Township - Four recycling drop off stations are available to residents at:

• Liberty Township Fire Station No. 2, 6957 Yankee Rd.

• Liberty Twp. Administration Office, 6400 Princeton Rd.

Milford Township - A recycling drop off station is available to residents at:

• Maintenance Building, 1414 Trenton Oxford (Intersection Route 73 and 127)

Monroe -  The city has a curbside recycling program provided by Rumpke Recycling.  Residents are billed monthly for waste collection and recycling by the city's public utilities department. You can recycle newspapers, magazines, junk mail, phone books, brown paper bags, office paper, cardboard, paperboard (such as cereal boxes), plastic bottles & jugs (remove lids), glass bottles & food jars, aluminum cans, steel cans, empty aerosol cans (remove tip). To get a bin, please call (513) 779-4729, extension 3012.

Morgan Township - Two recycling drop off stations are available to residents at:

• Township Administration Building, 3141 Chapel Rd.
• Shandon Fire Station, 4765 State Rt. 126

Oxford provides curbside pick up for brush and yard waste (no grass), including leaves, tree trunks, stumps and holiday trees from December - February. Visit http://www.cityofoxford.org for more details.

Reily Township - The township has a curbside recycling program provided by Rumpke Recycling.  Rumpke bills residents quarterly for waste collection and recycling. You can recycle newspapers, magazines, junk mail, phone books, brown paper bags, office paper, cardboard, paperboard (such as cereal boxes), plastic bottles & jugs (remove lids), glass bottles & food jars, aluminum cans, steel cans and empty aerosol cans (remove tip). To get a bin, please call (513) 524-5221.

A recycling drop off station is also available to residents at:

Wayne Township - A recycling drop off station is available to residents at:

• Maintenance Building, 4570 Middletown-Oxford Rd.

West Chester Township - Three recycling drop off stations are available to residents at:

• Beckett Park, 8650 Union Centre Blvd. (inside park between Muhlhauser barn & ballfields)
• Keehner Park, 7211 Barrett Rd.
• Voice of America Park, 8070 Tylersville Rd.

NOTE:  At this time, curbside recycling pick up is NOT available in Lemon, Madison, Milford, Oxford, Reily, St. Clair and Wayne Townships. Residents should use one of 30 recycling drop box stations located througout the county for their recyclable materials.

You can NOW recycle plastic jugs and bottles numbers 1 through 7 and pizza boxes that do NOT contain grease.

Please do NOT attempt to recycle the following materials in your recycling bin or drop off containers: plastic grocery bags; butter, margarine, or cool whip containers; styrofoam; paint cans; coat hangers; steel scrap; glass from windows/doors or drinking glasses; broken glass; light bulbs and pizza boxes with soiled food matter.
